Worked example

A van fleet buys 1,000 litres of diesel. At this week's 199.33p that costs £1,993, against £1,428 a year ago. Either way it emits 2,584 kg CO2e (1,000 × 2.584 kg), which goes in Scope 1 if you own or lease the vans.

How Carbon Recycling helps

Add the litres from receipts, a fuel card spreadsheet or your accounting software, and Carbon Recycling works out the Scope 1 emissions and the well-to-tank Scope 3 line, with the right government factor for each year. Reporting from litres rather than spend means a price spike never inflates your footprint.
