Carbon Recycling

From a pile of bills to a signed report

You add what you already have. We pick the right government figure for every line, add it all up by scope, and lay it out the way buyers, banks and auditors expect.

Three steps

What you do, and what we do

Most businesses have a first footprint within the hour.

  1. 1

    Add what you already have

Type in a year of bills, or import a spreadsheet. We guide you to the right unit and factor for gas, electricity, fleet, flights, hotels, waste and more.

  2. 2

    Fill the Scope 3 gaps

Send suppliers a secure link to share their emissions. No account needed on their side; you review before anything counts.

  3. 3

    Publish your reports

Set a baseline and target, list your reduction measures, get director sign-off, and print your Carbon Reduction Plan and SECR disclosure.

Works with Xero, Sage Accounting and FreeAgent. Connect your accounts to estimate Scope 3 from what you spend, or upload a purchase ledger export from any other accounting package.

Reports people ask you for

All from the same figures, on every plan.

The basics

Scope 1, 2 and 3 in one picture

Every line you add lands in one of three scopes. Tap the picture to see which.

Tap anything in the picture.

Scope 1

Scope 1: what you burn and what leaks

Fuel burned on your premises and in vehicles you own or lease, plus refrigerant that escapes from air conditioning. You control it directly.

Where the figures come from
Gas bills, fuel cards, oil deliveries and air-con service records.
Who asks for it
Every carbon report asks for it: SECR, Carbon Reduction Plans and customer questionnaires.

Example figures use the UK government's 2026 conversion factors (DESNZ), the same ones our reports use.

A worked example

What goes into a footprint

A year for a business with 40 staff and six vans. Tap a scope or a line to see the sum behind it.

108.0

tCO₂e

Tap a line to see the sum behind it. Every line in a Carbon Recycling report shows the same working.

A made-up but typical year for a business with 40 staff, an office, a small warehouse and six vans, worked out with the UK government's 2026 conversion factors. Scope 3 here covers travel and waste only; purchased goods would usually add more.

Commitment to net zero

One sentence committing the business to net zero by 2050 at the latest. Buyers check it is there before reading anything else.
