Normative is a well-regarded carbon accounting platform, and in September 2026 it joined Greenly. Both are built for larger organisations: their focus is global supply chains, European regulation such as CSRD and CBAM, and product footprints, with advisers included and a full baseline that Normative says takes 8 to 12 weeks. If that is what you need, they are good choices. If you are a UK business that has been asked for a Carbon Reduction Plan, an SECR report or a footprint for a customer, here is how we compare.

Normative and Greenly features are as described on their own websites on 2 October 2026. "Not a dedicated output" means we found no PPN 006 plan listed among Normative's reporting outputs.

Choose Normative or Greenly if

  • you report under CSRD or other EU rules, or need CBAM data;

Choose Carbon Recycling if

  • you need a PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan for a public sector or NHS bid;

  • you want UK government factors and figures you can explain to a buyer line by line;
  • you want to see the price before you talk to anyone.
