Product carbon footprints: a figure per unit, with every step shown
When a customer asks for the carbon footprint of what you sell, you need a figure per unit you can explain. The pack builds one from the materials, your own energy and delivery, using the UK government's factors.

- Your own Scope 1 and 2 for the year, shared across products by the share you set.
- Delivery by van, lorry, train, ship or air freight.
- A short statement for each product, with what's included and what's left out.
Pytania
- Who is it for?
- Makers and sellers whose customers ask for the carbon footprint of what they buy, such as retailers, wholesalers and public sector buyers working on their own Scope 3.
- How is a footprint worked out?
- Each material in one unit, by weight, times the UK government's material use factor for 2026; plus the share of your own Scope 1 and 2 that goes into making it, divided by the units you make; plus delivery, by weight, distance and transport, with the government's freight factors. Every step is shown.
- Is it a certified product footprint?
- No. It's an estimate from government average factors, not a footprint verified to ISO 14067, PAS 2050 or the GHG Protocol Product Standard, and it covers cradle to gate plus delivery, not the product's use or end of life. We say so beside every figure.
- What if a material isn't on the list?
- We use the government's factors for 36 common materials, from metals, plastics, paper, board and glass to wood, concrete, textiles and electrical items. Anything not covered is left out and named, so the figure never claims more than it contains.
- Ile to kosztuje?
- £99 + VAT a month, or £990 + VAT a year paid upfront, on top of any paid plan, with a 12-month minimum. Up to 50 products.
