Until now every organisation in Carbon Recycling was treated as a UK business, billed in pounds and given UK reports. Now you choose the country your business is based in when you sign up, or later in Settings. That sets the currency your plan is charged in, the electricity factor used for data with no site, and which report formats the Reports page shows first. There are 188 countries to choose from outside the UK, and 54 of them pay in their own currency.

Same plans, local prices

The plans and limits are the same as in the UK. The price is the UK price converted at the European Central Bank's reference rates for 19 October 2026, rounded to a price ending in 9 and then fixed, so it doesn't move with the exchange rate. Yearly is ten months' price, as in the UK. Every country has its own page underCarbon reporting in every country with its prices and reports.

Each country's own report

Every country gets a GHG Protocol inventory with IFRS S2 metrics. Nine countries and the EU also have their own format so far:

EU businesses also get the EU VSME report. For Australia, Singapore, France, the EU, the US and Japan, the app checks from your own figures whether the rules' thresholds apply to you. For California, our post on the first SB 253 deadline covers who is in scope; most smaller businesses will meet it as a supplier asked for figures.

To be clear about what these are: each report gives the figures a scheme asks for, laid out its way, ready to send to the customer who asked or to copy into the official system. It isn't a filing. NGER reports are still lodged with the Clean Energy Regulator, a BEGES is still published on ADEME's platform, and schemes that need a verifier still need one. Electricity uses each country's grid factor (see our posts onofficial overseas electricity factors andfactor pages for Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US), while fuels, travel and purchases use the UK Government factors. Each report names the official factor set its scheme expects, so a figure that differs can be checked.

In the country's language

Each report now has a language picker. France's BEGES opens in French, Japan's SHK statement in Japanese and China's exchange format in Simplified Chinese, as those schemes expect, with English one click away. Report wording has been translated into French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, German and Spanish among others, and the GHG Protocol inventory opens in your home country's language where we have it.
