Consultant prices vary widely: published fixed fees for a PPN 006 plan range from about £120 to over £4,000. Our figures are not independently verified; PPN 006 does not require verification.
Pricing questions
What happens when the free trial ends?
Nothing is charged automatically, because we don't take a card for the trial. Choose a plan to keep going. Your data stays in your account either way. During the trial every feature works and you can preview your reports, but printing, saving and downloads switch on when you choose a plan.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. Prices are shown without VAT, which is added at the standard 20% rate when you pay. Starter is £59 a month plus £11.80 VAT, for example. You get a VAT invoice for every payment, so a VAT-registered business can reclaim it.
Do you charge per report or per user?
Not for company reports or users. Every plan includes SECR reports and Carbon Reduction Plans for each reporting year it covers, and the price doesn't change with your headcount. Starter includes up to 3 users and 2 sites, Growth up to 10 users and 10 sites, and Enterprise has unlimited users and 100 sites included. The one thing charged per report is the optional site report: a branded report for a single site, with 10 included each reporting year and then £10 per site.
Is there a contract?
You choose how to pay. Yearly costs 10 months' price upfront, so Growth is £1,490 a year instead of £1,788. Monthly has a 12-month minimum, then runs month to month. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; the plan ends at the end of the year you've paid for, or for monthly plans at the end of the minimum term if that's later.
We need reports for earlier years too. How does that work?
Each year of your subscription covers one reporting year for every company on your plan. Data can go in for any year from 2002 (electricity only before 2012), and a past year can be added for 50% of your plan's yearly price. On Growth that's £745 + VAT a year, so this year plus the two before costs £2,980 + VAT.
Which plan do I need for supplier data?
Growth or Enterprise. They let you send suppliers a secure link to report their emissions, with no account needed on their side.
Do you check my Carbon Reduction Plan before I submit it?
The software does. Before you publish, the plan page lists anything PPN 006 asks for that is still missing: data for the reporting year, all five Scope 3 categories or a reason one doesn't apply, reduction measures, board approval, the approval date and the signing director. We are a software company, not a consultancy, so there is no paid review by a person.
We're a large group with several companies. What do we pay?
Enterprise is £399 a month and includes 5 companies. Each extra company is £49 a month, so a group of 8 companies pays £546 a month and a group of 20 pays £1134. 100 sites are included; each extra 50 cost £49 a month, so 1,000 sites in one company is £1,281 a month. Users are unlimited, and you get a combined report across every company. If you have sites outside the UK, add £99 a month for each country.
