Carbon reporting for businesses in China
The same plans as in the UK, priced in Chinese yuan, with the reports that China's rules and buyers ask for. That means gHG figures for stock exchange sustainability reports, alongside a GHG Protocol inventory.

The reports you get for China

Where it goes: Into the sustainability report published with your annual report (by 30 April), or to the customer that asked.
Energy in MWh. Carries your Unified Social Credit Code.
Rules from: Shanghai Stock Exchange: sustainability reporting guidelines (April 2024); GHG Protocol Corporate Standard (WRI/WBCSD).

Where it goes: To the customer, lender, investor or tender that asked.
Energy in MWh. Carries your Company number.
Rules from: GHG Protocol Corporate Standard (WRI/WBCSD); IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures, paragraph 29(a) (ISSB).
UK reports too
Selling to the UK? The SECR report and the PPN 006 Carbon Reduction Plan that UK public sector tenders need are on every plan as well.
Electricity in China
Sites in China use the government's own figure from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) and National Bureau of Statistics, not the UK's. China's grid averaged 526 g CO2e per kWh in 2025. See every year and the source.
Paying from China
You pay by card in Chinese yuan. At checkout you give your business's VAT, GST or tax number where your country has one: the sale is then made without UK VAT, and any local tax on services bought from abroad is handled under your country's own rules, as it is for other overseas software. Invoices come from Stripe, in Chinese yuan.
Prices are the UK prices converted at the European Central Bank euro foreign exchange reference rates for 2026-10-19, rounded to a price ending in 9, and fixed in Chinese yuan: they don't move with the exchange rate. Any change follows the 30 days' notice in our terms. Report rules checked on 2026-10-19 from the official sources linked above; this page is a guide, not legal or tax advice. Fuels, travel and purchases use the UK Government GHG Conversion Factors (DESNZ), which follow IPCC methods, and each country's electricity uses the figure named above.
